Should not Does.

Simple minds ring into a radio show on the weekend to profess their love and admiration for their partner. This I do not recognise, certainly not the urge to announce. Not in my own relationship, not in many of the relationships I see around me. But the subconscious is building a case-study of what love should look like, bolstered by the bollocks I hear on the radio, the tripe on TV, the swill in the songs. And I will play my part, come the wedding day, overcome with a sense of occasion, I will stand up and say that life without was no life at all. The congregation will hear my words and file them away in their own corrupt case-file. And we all roll on. Blindly bumbling out into the world.

Love is hard, lost in the noise, taken for granted.
